IMMIGRATION APPROVAL!!!

Yes, that's right. You've heard it here!

I was coming in from the grocery store, ready to make Chicken Enchilladas for dinner (Spanish meal) and went to check the mail. There it was: a letter from USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services). I frantically called Ray. Should I open the letter or wait for him to get home? Yes, wait, he said. So I started dinner and waited. When he arrived, we said a prayer asking God to look after us and the boys no matter what the news should say. Following the prayer, we took a deep breath and Ray opened the envelope.

"NOTICE OF FAVORABLE DETERMINATION CONCERNING APPLICATION FOR ADVANCED PROCESSING OF ORPHAN PETITION."

YAY!!! !!! !!!

Here's the situation. We got our approval sooner than we thought (we were expecting the end of the month or the beginning of August). This is good news. Plus this means we are approximately at the half-way point.

All that's left is:
- Guatemalan Approval (called PGN and takes 10 - 12 weeks like Immigration)
- Pink Slip (which includes numerous things like getting new birth certificates and setting the court date for our babies' pick up).

We're overwhelmed with happiness!
Thank you, Lord, for such blessings.

Hey Lori and Deanna,

Thank you both for the shared happiness. We're excited about finally getting to go see them. Our agency is still saying they want to take a trip down in September, and Ray says that the money I bring in from summer school this summer will just about cover it. Yay! -- Kelli
