No casualties in earthquake

Apparently the earthquake was like yelling into a pillow. It was a strong earthquake, but since it hit 90 miles below in the ocean, it was muffled to the point that the country felt it, but no lives were lost to it's wake. That's very good news. I just hope no roads are out between where the boys live and Guatemala City where our agency is traveling. I am worried that somehow they won't be able to get to the city for updated pictures and promised video. They set out today and will be gone through Sunday. So keep us in your thoughts. We'll be so excited to hear from them Monday about the trip!

So your agency is down there today?!?!! YAHOO!!!!! Pictures are not far off. :) I bet the roads will be okay for them. It sounds like not much happened in-land. Bet you guys are so excited to see the new pictures! You guys are getting videos too? That is REALLY awesome!
Hope you hear something soon!

Okay, I'm tired of not being able to respond to anything, so I finally created an account.

You guys have been through it all -- everything from crazy international policies gone awry to natural disasters.

I, too, cannot WAIT for you to get those pictures and possibly videos!

Hang in there. Every day really is one day closer to those boys.

Emily!

How much fun! Well, thanks for posting, sweet girl. It has been a pretty interesting series of events -- from Ray and I being labelled hardened criminals -- to earthquakes in Guatemala. :)

Anyway, I am excited about the new pictures and video and just hearing how they're doing and what our contact saw down there. Everything.

Thanks for thinking of us.

YAY! Yeah, I know I'm so excited about the video. I don't know if I told you, but we found DISPOSABLE video cameras! They're only at CVS and are about 25.00. But out agency said they wouldn't mind taking it since it was disposable and no one would worry as much about it getting stolen or something like that (though I still sent 2!)

Anyway, they said they didn't know how much they'd be able to get, but they'd get some. So I don't know if we'll have thirty seconds of the boys waving at the camera, or 5 minutes of watching them play or a half hour of interactive things. I'm definitely wanting as much as they'll give, but who knows.

Anyway, I'm sure they'll email the pictures back on Monday and then FedEx the camera to us, so we'll have the video later in the week. :)

YAYYYYY!
