National Day of Prayer for Orphans in Guatemala

Friends and Family,
Tricia, a dear friend of mine in the Roanoke Valley, posted this yesterday evening.  I beg you to participate.  While this information doesn't directly affect my adoption case, the changes in Guatemala, affect thousands of children who have already waited long enough.  They've waited long enough.

The newest update on Guatemalan adoptions is NOT good.

Guatemala has suspended ALL adoptions - including those grandfathered in and all current in-process cases....for at least 30 days.

This is a NIGHTMARE for adoptive parents all across the United States. And believe me, I feel sick about it. Our journey & process to Sofia had several scares and many delays and each and every one is BEYOND heart wrenching. Your heart & your child are stranded in ANOTHER COUNTRY and there is NOTHING you can do about it.

It is maddening, actually.

So TODAY is the:

National Day Of Prayer
For The
Orphans Of Guatemala

Please find time during your day tomorrow to lift up the families still in the adoption process and also all of the children that do not have families.

You can go
here for more info.

If you do not pray - please consider reaching out to the families still waiting and do what you can to send well wishes to the orphans stranded in Guatemala.
