Well, we've been home now for three weeks and it's pretty amazing the improvement we've made in such a short period of time. It seems the boys have fallen into the routine pretty well, feel more comfortable and at ease a little more all around. It's pretty incredible to think how far we've come in such a short period of time.
It would be easy to think that the boys are so young that their past home-changes, the friends and family they've left behind wouldn't make so much of a difference. The reality is that these little guys are really grieving. They can't express it any better than to acknowledge that they feel sad. Sometimes is so clear to Ray and me that their raging is not a tantrum, but an outlet to get out all the feelings built up that they don't have a vocabulary to articulate.
Meanwhile, we are making the most of each day -- Ray and I feel so passionate that each day we want our guys to feel utterly and completely LOVED. Today's morning fun was using finger paint! Tonight we have small group and we might go hit the Salem High football game! FUN.
