It Takes a Village

You see NOW I know!  I used to think the phrase: "it takes a village to raise a child" was about the importance of different authorities in the lives of the children -- that they get instruction and guidance from many people (God, parents, teachers, mentors, etc).  Now I understand the preschool truth to this statement -- you really need a village of people to tucker out your children! Playdates, classes, church, family, parks, zoos, anything you can get your hands on that will bring on sleepiness!  Ha!

Today we had a super-swell time playing with Emily and Davis.  Davis shared these great cars, his t-ball toys, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and more.  It was so great, the boys both got teary and angry/sad when it was time to go.  :(  More playdates soon, Davis!!

This photo cracks me up because no body wanted to cease playing for a PHOTO!  I mean good grief!  Playing is SERIOUS.  Daniel refused to stop (he knew I would get over trying to get him in the shot).  Notice Mateo's super-fake smile as he's thinking to myself, I had to stop playing in that cool car for this?!?!
Davis was GREAT fun.  I believe this shot was taken while he contemplated the many ways one really OUGHT to be able to ride on a bike.  Surely there's backwards, and sideways. . . hmmm. .

The TRAIN set was like the grand finale on the fourth of July.
Whoa doggies.  Do the boys look a smidge green in this photo?
Thanks Emily and Davis!!
