It's pretty amazing what a small world this is, but I don't know if you remember: after our first visit trip to see the boys, we had to leave them with our adoption facilitator. I mean he was wonderful to take them. What had happened was that our foster mother had gotten stuck in traffic and couldn't arrive, and we had to leave to catch our plane. It was really traumatic. The boys didn't understand why we were leaving, and I was so heartbroken to leave them, and Bethany came rushing out of the hotel, as we waited for the Marriott bus to take us to the airport, and just held onto me while I was sobbing. She was just so sweet.
She also helped watch out boys and soothe them with our facilitator, while they waited for their sweet daughter to arrive.

Then, just last night, she emailed me a picture she had taken in June on a trip when Ray and I were not yet allowed to go to Guatemala. She had taken a picture of two little boys, and look! It's Mateo and Daniel, playing with the Mr. Potato Head that we had sent! It's a small world after all!
