We still need our fingerprints approval from USCIS before we can go down. Today marks two weeks since we had them re-taken in Charleston, WV. As my friend Barbara said, "It wouldn't be an adoption if things weren't down to the wire!"

Meanwhile, I'm so excited, I'm nearly sick. It's hard to "guard your heart" when the boys could be home next weekend! I think we have everything we need at this point. Sweet sweet Kate and Tom M. gave us a monster-truck load of toys their son had outgrown (THANK YOU!!!) and now, I just really no longer feel like we might run out of things to play with on the plane and at the US Embassy! *laughs*
If you live near the Cove in Roanoke County and hear wild screaming and laughing, please forgive. It's just me. And hopefully I'll be out of the country next week and the quiet will return. :)

A HUGE smile just came on my face as I read your blog entry! I remember "stalking" the FedEx man and thinking...good grief...how long can a little envelope stay in one place!! Your DNA will arrive in Guatemala today, this afternoon and will go straight to the mail room. (Which is upstairs from the meeting area). It will then be sorted out and then sent to the appropriate people. It sometimes takes it a day to get to the correct area. I also have a name and number (direct line) to an employee at the Embassy if you need it. :) Congrats!!! You are almost there!!!! :)
How exciting!! I'm at the library, trying hard not to cry in public after reading "guard your heart". It's happening and they'll be home soon! CUT LOOSE, go wild and totally UNapologetically with the 'wild screaming and laughing'!! ~ Gayle
