Tidbits of News

Bad News:  Labcorp has not yet received the DNA samples, which means that the doctor in Guatemala probably hasn't mailed them off yet -- or has JUST mailed them off.

Good News:  It appears that the actual DNA testing should only take 3 - 4 days.  (I had thought it took two weeks -- maybe one week was just getting the DNA to Labcorp so they could start!)

Bad News:  No news yet from USCIS re: our fingerprints, but it's still really early.

Good News:  It appears that I was correct that once the DNA arrives at the Embassy, they issue the email for the appointment within 24 hours.
Also, everyone I've talked to this last week who received their email have exactly 1 week's worth of notice before their appointment (JUST enough time to pack, order plane tickets, set up hotel rooms, and fly down there!  PERFECT!)

Good News:  My sweet friend/neighbor/prayer warrior/prospective adoptive parent came by yesterday and brought us a fun animal harness for our crazy airport maneuver with the boys!  And it has a pocket so it works like a groovy backpack!
THANK YOU EMILY N!

In English:  Monkey
In Spanish: El Mono!

So, all in all, we're just WAITING.  But hey!  We're freakin' PROS at waiting!!!  Plus, if there is only ONE SINGLE SOLITARY TRUTH that God has tried to ingrain on our souls, and write on our hearts, and train our brains is that He is mighty.  He is in control.  He loves us.  We can trust Him.

Much easier said than done.
I don't think anything smaller than an 18 month miracle adoption could have taught us that any better.

Thank you, Jesus, for our sweet boys who are SO CLOSE to coming home.  We rest them and our family in YOUR PERFECT care.
Amen.
