Mateo hasn't been sleeping well. Nightmares, I think. He sort of cries in his sleep, all night long. It's heartbreaking. Daniel seems to sleep fine, but he has his own ways of showing his grief. It'd be easy to think that everything works seamlessly. We get brought together by God's grace and love, and then one day we bring them home, and we're a perfect family. But these little guys have had an incredible rough first few years of their existence -- loving a mother and then one day never seeing her again, getting settled in one foster home after a few months and moving again, moving to another foster home where people who tell you they are your parents come visit every few months, and then always leave again. It's a lot for two little persons to deal with. The grief is very real.
When the boys do come home, there will be more grieving as they leave their country, leave yet another family, another bedroom, friends, comfort food, everything familiar.
Still, there is much much love, and a God who provides and protects.
Jesus dijo: -- Dejad que los ninos vengan a mi.
Jesus said: -- Let the little children come to me.
