CVS and the Video Saga

We have been home for one week today. While we were in Guatemala we took with us some CVS one-time use, disposable DVD video recorders and video taped footage of the boys. We recorded their birthday party, time in the bathtub, eating breakfast one morning, saying goodbye on the last day -- just various things along our trip. We took the first Video Recorder to CVS on Monday and the second on Tuesday (needing an extra day to find it in the luggage). When we picked up the first DVD, we brought it home to play, but it didn't work. We called CVS and they promised they could reburn it, but it would take a day.

No problem. So we waited. The next day I called, and they explained that the DVD burner was broken and a technician had been called. Not to worry, our DVD would be ready that evening.

That evening we called, and the technician had not shown up. Don't worry, they said, they'll give us the DVDs for free and call us once he comes.

The next day we called.
The day after we called.
You see where this is going.

Today Ray went by there to pick up the cameras to take them to a different CVS, and they explained that we could get one of them, but the information from the first DVD was lost. So sorry, they said. Here's a free camera.

ARGGGGGG. I so aggravated at crumby CVS!! I think they lost the one with the boy's birthday party on it. We'll know for certain once we get the second camera done at a different store. It's just frustrating to feel like that was recorded memories just lost.

When we do have the new video clips available, we'll definitely post them, so just know SOMEthing is coming. Soon.
