Feliz Ano Nuevo! (Happy New Year!)
Aren't you glad that we didn't send out premature Christmas photos? New Year's cards are going to be perfect with us as a family in front of the Christmas tree inside Guatemala with our sweet boys. (Some inside information ONLY for you website readers -- we had to squat down on the floor because the lights in the middle of the tree had accidentily gone out not five minutes before we were to take our photo! No one else will know this secret.)
Here are some more photos that I'm able to post while the boys take una siesta (nap). I hope you enjoy them. Also, don't stop too quickly as it took us all morning to upload the video below. Check it out! It's definitely 1:16 minutes of 'what do we do now that the camera is on?' but we wanted to say hello from Guatemala in person (or as close as possible).
Our BEAUTIFUL dessert last night. Chocolate cake with marzipan and different fruit sauces. It was heavenly!

This is Danny drinking his milk of which he has a serious passion! It's quite hilarious.

Here's Mateo, up close and personal. He is not a big camera guy, so it's fun when we catch him willing and smiling at the same time!

Here are our guys playing in the "baby room" that the Marriott has set up for adoptive families. We were fortunate to find it empty this morning while the boys ran around the room playing with EVERYTHING! Here's Mateo showing Daddy and me how the wheel turns. Daniel is too excited to stop and explain.

Here is Danny on "el caballo." After Ray played the horse all last night, it was fun for the boys to discover another one!

Here's a TERRIBLE self-photo shot that we tried to take. It isn't artistically pleasant, but it is way fun -- which is what we were having when we snapped it! Notice the sweat on Mateo's brow. The boys has been in the Garden, running and running and running. Did I mention they were running a lot? :)

Ray snapped this photo of me last night after dinner, and I just love it. So I'll end with it. We're having a great time. And while we miss you all so much, I'm still not ready to go.
