Time's Fun When You're Having Flies"

as my husband always says. It's hard to believe how little time we have left.

So far our morning has consisted of one bath, breakfast, seeing armed guards protecting what we think was a local band entering the hotel, playing in the 'babyroom,' taking a Christmas photo and making this video. A full morning!

(It's funny how I really do not know much Spanish -- just words for this and that, and yet, after talking for two days entirely in Spanish to the boys, it's funny trying to recall the English word as I type this entry).

Here are some of the things I've been pondering this morning:
1. The boys had an incredibly great time playing in the "baby room" with toys made for younger children. Ray and I were reflecting that they probably never had toys like these when they were babies, and thus the appeal remains. It is hard not knowing where we are leaving them, having so many questions left unanswered. We know that we simply have to trust God and let go. This simple thought is far easier said than done.

2. The boys are so full of spontaneous love. When they climb into our arms, they are not interested in letting go. They want kisses and reassurance, hugs and constant love. We are so much a family already, it will be hard to hurt them again and say goodbye tomorrow -- a goodbye that will come all too soon.

3. It's funny how much these boys eat! We were talking with one couple yesterday and they said, 'they'd see us around' and I thought -- if they come to the same restaurant, we are certain to see them simply because once we are there, we are there for a looooong time. They are not finished until every single thing is cleared from their plates, all the fruit is gone from their bowl, and all the milk is completely gone. I promise, they eat enough for two people! It's quite a sight. We thought about taking some video of one meal's experience, but we thought that quite honestly it would just gross everyone out! Did I mention that these fellas are all boys? They want to get jelly with their fingers and when they reach for their milk they get ketchup all over their sleeves, and then drop buttery potatoes in their laps! It's quite a sight!!

Anyway, I'm certain Ray will post something less sad, and much more interesting later. And, of course, he'll get you our Christmas photo -- which we will mail out as New Year's cards once we get back! Keep your eyes peeled for those.

Mucho amor,
Kelli
