Mateo and Daniel have both started going to a Daycare/Preschool for half-days!! They started yesterday with much excitement and anticipation! All morning I kept hearing "Hurry!" Mateo put on his new shirt with flashing lights (Thank you, Paige!) and wanted his hat and sunglasses so he would look cool! Daniel just wanted to play. :)
We got there at 9:00 and the boys looked on shyly at the children while I finished a little paperwork. The next thing I knew, each was sitting politely at a table, SHARING markers and paper! Who are THESE children!?! It was wonderful!
I picked them up a little before noon, and neither even noticed me as I stood watching them in the doorway. Mateo was in his class sitting Indian style in a circle of children & sitting right beside the teacher: Senora Marcie! Daniel was sharing a toy at a table in his classroom, playing super-quietly and patiently with another girl in the class! All evening I heard about the children, the "mean girl" who took one of the toys out of Mateo's hand, the teacher, the games, the toys!
GOOD DEAL.
They are transitioning well at home, getting better about following the rules, and being less upset about consequences. Preschool is allowing them to follow more structure, see other children behaving well, create their separate identities in different classes, while still having each other at playtime and lunch time! Then they come home for lovey time with Mommy and Daddy. Lots of good stuff going on here.
Meanwhile, the boys continue to talk about Tia, Tio, Abuelo and Abuela. My sister, brother-in-law, mom and dad. Here are some photos from their fun night Sunday with Aunt Kim, and Uncle Paul. :)
Here's my sis pushing Mateo on the swing set!
Daniel is holding Uncle Paul's hands as they walk to and from the park.
Mateo knew who he wanted right away: AUNT KIM.
No one else could compare.
Here's Mateo cheesin' it up for the camera as he climbed at the park.
I just think this photo is funny as Daniel really wanted to close this window and couldn't.
I don't know if it's a real window or a play one on the play house, but it was cute watching him try and figure it out!
Here's one of two fun play houses at the park. They were just the right size for little Danny.
P.S. Grammy is taking the boys to the zoo on Thursday,
so lots of fun pictures then!!!!!

Davis saw the pics and said, "hey, they are at our old playground." He recognized it right away. It was just below our old house.
Awww, they are so adorable. I'm so glad to see that the boys are enjoying getting to know their new family!
