Tonight we went to our first Salem High Football Game! (Salem won!) The boys were fascinated and enjoyed the band music, the touchdowns, learned the word "tackle," and even took a little while to enjoy a cup of popcorn (poporopos is the word for popcorn in Spanish. HARD to say!)
Every year, the high school teachers have a big tailgate party (potluck) and then we go to the first game of the season. The boys were super-temperamental until they got some fried chicken in their bellies -- then all smiles after that! It was funny, though. All the children of all the teachers hovered around Mateo and Daniel. The boys kept grabbing their toys on our picnic blanket and making piles in front of them -- making it clear to the other children that they were NOT sharing! (I was utterly embarrassed). Ray told the parents -- well, when you're from the hood, I suppose it's every boy for himself.
I guess so.
Lots to learn!!!!!

Those are the cutest pictures of you all! Looks like they enjoyed themselves. :)
The grandparents always look so happy with their new grandchildren.
It is nice to see that you have family to help and enjoy your boys.
